About Me

My name is Kris, I was born in North Dakota in the grand year of 1986. I am a certified character animator and freelance artist. Most of the time I can be found working on a drawing and listening to music. I love movie soundtracks and draw a lot of inspiration from them. Art has always been a passion of mine and I have been drawing for as long as I can remember. Although most of my artwork is digital I also love to draw with colored pencils, etch on glass, and paint with watercolor.

I love animals and so therefore most of my art revolves around them, though I can draw other things I usually prefer to stick to the four legged critters. Most of what I know about drawing was self taught, minus a few private lessons I had back in middle school. I always dreamed of learning how to animate and in January of 2007 I attended an animation school called AnimationMentor and fulfilled that dream. It was based mainly on 3D animation but I was able to make my final short film in 2D. I graduated and got my certification in "Advance Character Animation" in June of 2008.

Another favorite pastime of mine is building web sites. I am a self taught web designer, but I only do it as a hobby for now. If you would like to learn more about me please stop by my blog 'Mithmeoi'.

About the Site

theGreykitty.net was born in the winter of 2005 after I won a contest at a site called Balto Central. A free, fully hosted domain was my prize. It is hosted by Sheerhosting. At first I was not really sure what I wanted to do with this space since I already have a domain mithmeoi.net, and I later decided it would make a good portfolio. So here it is!
